Food Assistance with Dignity

At Bread of Life Food Pantry, we believe everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food.

Families face difficult seasons for many reasons. A job loss, unexpected medical expenses, rising food costs, or a change in family circumstances can quickly make putting food on the table difficult. Whatever brings you to us, our volunteers are here to help with compassion and dignity.

What began by serving approximately 50 families has grown into a ministry serving around 290 families each month. Through the generosity of our community and the dedication of our volunteers, Bread of Life Food Pantry provides nutritious food to neighbors throughout Commerce, Hunt County, and beyond.

Food Distribution Schedule

We serve our local community twice a month with fresh produce, nutritional staples, and frozen meats when available.

Use the calendar below to find our next distribution time.

Friday distributions are from 10AM to 2PM. Wednesday distributions are from 4:30PM to 7:30PM. Find the time that works best for your schedule. You can only come once per month.

Who Can Receive Food?

Bread of Life Food Pantry primarily serves Commerce and Hunt County, but our desire to help does not stop at a county line. If you or your family need food assistance, we encourage you to come see us.

We distribute food twice a month. The first Friday following the first Wednesday, and on the third Wednesday of the month.

Friday distributions are from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Wednesday distributions are from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

What to Bring

If this is your first time visiting us, you will need to bring a valid photo ID and proof of address. If the address on your ID is correct, that will serve as your proof of address.

If you attend our distributions regularly, you only need a photo ID.

Valid Photo ID

A driver's license, state ID, or passport for the head of household to complete registration.

Proof of Address

A utility bill, lease agreement, or official mail from the last 30 days showing local residency.

What To Expect

Providing fresh food, resources, and community care to families across these primary postal codes and neighborhoods.

At Bread of Life Food Pantry, our distributions are 100% drive through. When you arrive, join the line of cars and await your turn. We do our best to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

Generally, we will give a full shopping cart of food. Please make sure your trunk or back seat is cleaned out so we have room to put all the boxes that have been prepared for you. This is extremely important if you are picking up for multiple households.

If you need or desire prayer, Pastor David will be there to pray with you.
